Universal Acceptance Day & geoTLD.group UA Technical Training day (21 April)
28 March 2023 marks the first Universal Acceptance Day ! On UA Day organisations around the world organise or annouce events and trainings to spread Universal Acceptance (UA) awareness and to encourage UA adoption. UA Day is an initiative by the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG), ICANN, global partners, and regional and local organizations.
The geoTLD.group in cooperation with eco – Association of the Internet Industry is organising a full day Universal Acceptance Technical Training on 21 April 2023, in Köln, Germany. The workshop is aimed at technical profiles involved in the design or wirting of software from German speaking areas. German will be the workinig language for the technical training part of the meeting. Remote participation is available if you can’t join us in Köln. Registration is required! Universal Acceptance is a technical requirement that ensures all valid domain names and email addresses, regardless of script, language, or character length, can be equally used by all Internet-enabled applications, devices, and systems. Universal Acceptance solves practical issues with software and applications that are not yet updated to recognise and process all domain names and email addresses.
