PuntoGal Association was the responsible to prepare, promote and present the candidature to acquire the domain .gal . An initiative oriented to get a domain on the Internet for the Galician society, and though it, a better visibility and presence of Galician society identified as such, on the Internet. PuntoGal Association, a non-profit organization constituted by entities of all the Galician social areas, plural and diverse, is the responsible to administrate the domain .gal. The economic income produced by the activity of the domain is used to maintain the domain, and in case of obtaining surplus, it will be invested in promoting Galician language and culture inside the field of new technologies.
